This teacher resource contains 31 humorous and predictable alphabet storybooks for the student and/or teacher to cut out and put together so that the students can color and make them their own. The stories explore letter-sound relationships through interest-holding, yet brief stories.
Each page has one simple sentence that heightens phonemic awareness, develops oral vocabulary, and introduces the idea of words in story context. They can also be used as “beginning readers” for those students who are ready to string sounds together into simple words. Most are CVC words (that feature short vowel sounds with a beginning and ending consonant), although some sight words are included (such as the, to, and).
