The themed lessons cover six major ancient civilizations: Sumer, Egypt, Israel, Babylon, Greece, and Rome. This product includes both the Student Workbook and the Teacher's Guide. The Teacher's Guide contains teaching tips, vocabulary quizzes, and hints for grammar instruction.
Recommended for grades 3-8.
The IEW units cover: note-taking and summarizing, summarizing narrative stories, summarizing a reference, writing from pictures, research reports, creative writing, essay writing, and literary critiques.
Sample topics include: the Sumerians, ancient Egypt, Israel, Babylon and Media-Persia, ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, the persecution of Christians, and Greek and Roman gods.
