Based on Maybury’s “Whatever Happened to Justice,” this study guide is designed to reinforce and enhance the student’s understanding of the material presented in the reader. Exercises are provided for comprehension, vocabulary, research and applications. Comprehension questions require students to provide answers from the book itself.  Students are encouraged to write in complete sentences.  Comprehension will also be demonstrated through discussion and writing exercises.

The Justice reader is a fast, clear, and fun explanation of the legal system you need for success in your career, business and investments. Really it is a primer for understanding judicial models and how they impact government, society, law, and our daily lives.  Topics include the two kinds of law, natural law, authority, common law, the judicial system as it impacts the economic system, rights and responsibilities, liberty vs. permission, and the Constitution.  The reader is not included.

The series uses "letters" written from Uncle Eric to his niece and nephew, to help them understand topics presented in social studies.
