The student text for BJUP's 1st grade history course is a full-color social studies reader that is read to the student.
The first section introduces social topics that young children are most familiar with—family and community—and then adds the idea of the student’s state, country, and the nation’s capital. These topics are presented from a biblical worldview, beginning with the world as God’s creation. The second section introduces the idea of history, beginning with Native Americans, Christopher Columbus, Jamestown, and Plymouth.
