This is one of three books featuring earth science from a creation point of view. Topics covered include:
introduction to earth science, the earth’s history, structure of the atmosphere, discovery of air, introduction to meteorology, weather vs. climate, pre-flood climate, climate changes due to the Genesis Flood, weather and the Bible, glaciers, the water cycle, cloud formation, cloud types, precipitation, air masses and weather fronts, thunderstorms, tornadoes, hurricanes, weather information, weather forecasting, ocean movements, oceans, and the sea floor.
The book contains 35 lessons. Although this is a complete curriculum, the “text” of the lesson is just the beginning. A resource guide is included in Appendix B to help you find additional information and resources. It is recommended that you include additional resources and readers for the upper elementary and intermediate grades. A glossary is also included in the back.
The lesson includes a vocabulary list (including challenge words), brief teaching text, interesting facts on the topic, basic comprehension questions, and application questions. Some lessons include hands-on activities or worksheets that are available online from the publisher. Information concerning these online resources is given in the teacher's guide.
