The subtitle, “Cultural Influences of Early to Contemporary Voices,” hints at the purpose of this literature series. The author calls it a rhetoric-level course, referencing the third stage of a classical approach to education. In essence, it is a combination worldview analysis, whole book literature class, composition, and critical thinking course. The author states that it is worth two high school credits (Carnegie system) in English (reading and writing). It can also be integrated with the author’s high school history series for an additional credit.
