This is the Teacher’s Edition for Master Book's World History program. It contains sample lesson plans, student worksheet pages that the student can use to record the answers or “discussion,” and an answer key in the back. There are also two test options for each chapter, along with weekly exams.
This junior high program is designed to be a chronological study of the major events and people in history from a Christian worldview. Rather than being a systematic, in-depth study of history, this is a survey course that emphasizes student interaction with the material through discussion questions. olume 3 covers the Modern Age to the Present (1900 AD to the present).
Topics include: modernism, progressivism, the two world wars, Russion revolution, trends in American education, the rise of evangelicalism, the Scopes Trial, the Cold War, space program, cultural changes of the sixties, post-modernism, and terrorism.
The curriculum covers 34 weeks, with each week containing five short lessons, most of which are one to two pages long, including the discussion questions. The author says each day’s lessons should take 15-20 minutes to complete.
