This teacher resource book defines a curious learner as a child who: (1) knows how to ask questions; (2) is not afraid to try; and (3) is excited about learning! This description fits the goals of many homeschoolers. The authors begin by helping us think through how we view our children (one element of a worldview). They take the position that children are born with a natural curiosity that we don't want to "school" out of them. Instead we want to encourage it through a variety of activities and approaches.
