A Christian family living in occupied Holland feel obligated by their faith to hide Jews escaping extermination by the Germans. Working with the underground, they build a hidden room and safely escort many to safety. Until one day a spy supposedly looking for assistance uncovers their operation and the entire family is arrested and sent to prison. Most of the family dies in the Nazi concentration camps. The bulk of this true story centers around two unmarried sisters, Corrie and Betsie, and their struggle to survive, not only physically, but spiritually. Despite the dangers, they share their faith and dream of a time when they can minister the power of God’s love and forgiveness, even to the Germans who have been blinded by hatred.
The novel by Corrie ten Boom is sold separately.
